Chili Cooks

The next generation of Topanga Chili Cook Off winners is slicing, dicing and firing it up in front of the community house.  Seen.at the annual swapmeet & chili event, which was great fun as always.  Their's was the only chili I got to sample, and it was good!

Pacific Coast Hwy reflected in the window of Wylie's Bait Shop, a longtime supplier for all of those "gone fishing".

Here is a classic public bathhouse, where they offer Roman/Irish steam baths, sauna, pools, bodywork and more.  Haven't taken the time to soak yet, too busy right now...

Cafe Ruffini 2

A tradition continues.  Ruffini is owned and run by a collective of folks, and the yellow plants on the top patio are not fall foliage, like out front.  They're happily blooming tree datura flowers, even in sub freezing temperatures.

Melange Klassik for breakfast

Here's my recent breakfast at Cafe Melange in Munich / Gern.  4 different cheeses, cold cuts, jam, breads, butter, honey and a perfect soft boiled egg.  Comes with Latte Macchiato, a super frothy affair, which comes Vienna style with a glass of water and a cookie.  =)
